Brownies
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
Topping
- 1 pint fresh strawberries
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup heavy cream
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl, whisk in sugar, then add eggs and vanilla until smooth.
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold into wet mixture until just combined.
Pour batter into pan, spread evenly, and bake 25–30 minutes. Toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely.
Arrange halved strawberries evenly over cooled brownies.
Prepare ganache: combine chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Pour over strawberries and spread evenly.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour to set ganache. Lift brownies using parchment overhang and cut into squares.
-
Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
